Warren G Breaks Down “Regulate… G Funk Era II” Track By Track [Video]

Warren G shares insight on collaborations with Nate Dogg, Bun B, Young Jeezy, and E-40. Dr. Dre’s comeback album, Compton, caused quite a sensation last week, but it was only one part of a G-Funk renaissance, with Warren G’s EP dropping the very same day. While Dre’s project found him working with newer sounds, G’s project is very much a return to the style he made his name off of — many of the songs being posthumous collaborations with Nate Dogg, who worked with Warren on his breakthrough hit, “Regulate”. In an exclusive interview with HNHH, the West Coast rapper breaks down each of the songs on his Regulate… G Funk Era II project, explaining how he linked up with Young Jeezy, and how he made a conscious effort to keep Nate Dogg’s legacy alive. Maino On Being On His Second Life, Working With Chinx & Most Important Project To Date [Video]

One of Brooklyn’s finest, Maino has been maneuvering his way through the game for some time now. With his new project “King of Brooklyn 3” out now via Datpiff, Maino joins the Sway in the Morning team to speak on the importance of this new body of work. Getting his mom kicked out of the projects for stashing drugs in his place many years ago, Maino speaks on his relationship with his mom and her surviving an extensive coma. From there the Brooklyn native gives his honest opinion on ghost writers as he dives into how important KOB3 is as he calls it his best yet. With a track featuring Chinx on the tape, Maino discusses how the collab came about as he candidly speaks on the late rappers legacy.
