Lil Cease Returns To Biggie’s Block 20 Years After “Ready to Die” [Video]

This Saturday (Sept. 13) marks the 20th anniversary of one of hip-hop’s most groundbreaking albums, The Notorious B.I.G.’s Ready to Die. And around these parts, we tend to get nostalgic when these kinds of milestone anniversaries approach. For Illmatic’s 20th bornday in April, we asked Nas’ brother Jungle to give us a tour of the Queensbridge streets (and childhood apt.) that inspired the classic LP. And now, we’ve recruited Biggie’s baby brother from another, Lil’ Cease, to walk us through the now-gentrified Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn, where Christopher Wallace grew up into one of hip-hop’s biggest legends. Take a trip down memory lane with Cease A Leo as he revisits Big’s old stoop, remembers supplying Tupac with guns hidden in shoeboxes, and recalls his first encounter with the Notorious One.
