Read moreTaylor Bennett has created quite a buzz over the past six months. The 18-year-old recent high school graduate is the younger brother of Chance The Rapper, and has gone about carving out his own lane in the ever-increasing shadow of his big bro. Taylor has successfully created a brand unto himself while selling out three consecutive headlining shows in his hometown (twice at Reggie’s & once at Lincoln Hall). He just recently performed at the House of Blues, opening for Vic Mensa and Nas as part of an official after-party for the annual festival, “Lollapalooza.” Also, Taylor has supported YG & Curren$y’s sold out shows at Metro in Chicago this year. His project, Mainstream Music, released on May 4th is a talented, well-put-together project that spans several sounds and essentially did what Common attempted on Nobody’s Smiling before he had a chance to pull together different sides and sounds of Chicago. Having done tracks with King Louie, Lil Herb, Spenzo, Rockie Fresh and many more, Taylor is spreading his voice around the city and recently appeared on the cover of The Chicago Reader as one of the leaders of the next crop of young talent to come from the city. Expect to see him in a city near you this fall.
