Read moreKeith Murray sat down with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes to discuss his upcoming battle vs.Fredro Starr on the MC War Battle League. Keith recalled getting the call to battle Fredro and how he felt this is an easy battle to take because he doesn’t consider Fredro to be “a big challenge.” Keith doesn’t feel as though Fredro is a lyrical rapper, but rather a person who can “make records about particular things with words that rhyme.” He also shared his thoughts on Onyx’s visit with Power 105 and how Fredro blew up on Charlamagne during the interview. Fredro also got agitated during his VladTV interview with Hughes when asked about his past beef with 50 Cent. Keith stated that he doesn’t know Fredro Starr for really being “in the streets” like he has, and says he’s heard stories about how Fredro wasn’t living a “street life” before he got involved with Hip-Hop. The battle is going down on September 28th at The Atrium in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Who do you think will be victorious?
Read moreLord Jamar spoke with VladTV about the unfortunate fight that broke out between Math Hoffa and Dizaster at KOTD’s BOLA 5 battle event, and also shared his thoughts on the possibility of Eminem stepping back into the ring. Jamar admitted that while he doesn’t think violence should occur in Battle Rap, “it was a damn good punch” that Dizaster threw at Math. With that being said, he thinks that there should be more solid rules in Battle Rap in order to prevent these types of altercations from happening. Regarding the potential return of Eminem, Lord Jamar said that out of all of the battlers who participated in the monumental Total Slaughter event, he would pick Arsonal to go bar-for-bar with Em. Jamar has faith that Eminem would do way better than Joe Budden did, though he doesn’t think that Slim will automatically beat the best Battle Rappers in the sport.
Read moreBobby Shmurda opens up to Jenny Boom Boom about his latest single, “Hot N***a,” and how a lot of big rappers are wanting to be on the remix. He reveals that Jadakiss has a spot on the record, which the Brooklyn rapper promises is “coming out soon.” Shmurda also names the rappers that he looks up to, like 50 Cent, Lil Boosie, and Uncle Murda, who the rapper recently linked up with in the studio. Bobby revealed that he and Uncle Murda worked on tracks for both their mixtapes, and the Brooklyn rapper added that he was trying to get Murda on his album. As the conversation moves on, Bobby has some advice to kids who are in the streets, “don’t gang bang, it’s not worth it.” He adds that the guys who are normally running in the streets are the same ones who won’t back you when you get locked up. The interview ends with the Brooklyn rapper discussing his sound, and he clears up rumors about his “Hot N***a” beat being Lloyd Banks’ “Jackpot.” Bobby reveals that Jahlil Beats told him that the G-Unit rapper didn’t actually buy the beat, so he “snatched it up” because he knew it was going to be a hit.
