Kurupt: “I’m Proud To Be A Part Of Dr. Dre’s Legacy” [Video]

VladTV caught up with West Coast legend Kurupt and briefly chopped it up about Kevin Hart, his big bro Dr. Dre, and his take on Bieber’s current situation. Kurupt gave major props to Kevin Hart, saying he’s watched the Philadelphia funnyman for years and is proud of his growth both comedically and success wise. When asked about Dr. Dre’s billion-dollar deal, Kurupt says he’s been around Dre since 1993, and watched him grow as a business man. In his eyes, the moves Dre is making are epic and he’s very proud to have been around the “good doctor” for so many years and to have learned so much from Mr. Young. When it comes to Bieber, Kurupt says he doesn’t blame the pop star for things he said years ago because he was a kid, and we all should just forgive and forget.

Tank: “Tyrese Would Never Jeopardize Dre’s Beats Deal” [Video]

R&B heartthrob Tank chopped it up with VladTV during BET weekend in LA and shared his thoughts on everything from his solo projects to getting back in the studio with Ginuwine and Tyrese for another TGT album. Tank spoke on the TGT collective as well as their record label having conversations about making another album soon, which is something that is definitely in the works. For now, Tank is focused on his upcoming solo release due to drop August 12th, featuring his new single, “You’re My Star.” When asked what it’s like when TGT hits the road together, the “Maybe I Deserve” singer reveals that it is far crazier than any of the three of them imagined it would be. He also briefly addresses accusations that groupmate Tyrese may have jeopardized Dr. Dre’s Beats deal with his too early celebration video going viral.

Lil Durk On Why He Dropped Mixtape Before Debut [Video]

Lil Durk opens up about his new mixtape, “Signed to the Streets II” hosted by DJ Drama and Don Cannon, dropping before his debut album. The Chicago rapper says he was going for a different sound from the previous mixtape, so he worked with a lot of different producers, including Young Chop. During the conversation Durk also revealed that the Rich Homie Quan-produced “I Know” was originally supposed to be his beat, but he didn’t stick around until London was finished. However, Durk stayed in touch with the producer and they worked something out for his upcoming project. When asked if the mixtape was a part of his Interscope deal, Durk said that they aren’t connected, but the project will be available on all the mixtape sites. He also promises that this will be the last project before releasing his debut album, “Remember My Name.” The Chicago rapper says he planned on dropping his debut after the big buzz of his first mixtape, but later decided that he would like to put out another mixtape instead.
