With his new album “Last Winter” out now, Dreamville MC and NYC native Bas sat down with VladTV to discuss his 2013 mixtape, “Quarter Water Raised Me,” his East African parents raising him while he ran the streets, and just how big of a smoker he really is. “Quarter Water Raised Me” got its title from Bas comparing the traditional values his parents instilled in him with the hard lessons he learned running the city. He also thoroughly discussed his smoking habits, including switching over to papers from blunts, and giving edibles & dabs a try.

Joe On How Big Pun’s “Still Not A Player” Came About [Video]

Joe shares what it was like doing the famous hook for Big Pun’s “Still Not A Player,” and admits that he didn’t believe it would be as big of a hit as it was. After performing the song in upstate New York, the crowd went wild and Joe knew it was going to be a hit. When asked about singing “Boricua, Morena” on the hook and not being of Hispanic descent, the 40-year-old singer says that he didn’t even know what the words meant, let alone how to pronounce them properly.
