Common Reveals Guests On “Nobody’s Smiling” LP [Video]

Common made rap heads explode when he announced that he’s releasing a No ID-produced album this Spring called ‘Nobody’s Smiling.’ Com gave VIBE a bit more insight into the project, which was inspired by the street strife taking place in Chicago and inner cities around America. “I got to the roots of who I am and where I come from,” the 41-year-old lyricist says. “I feel like this is going to be one of the greatest years for me, musically.” He says he’s looking forward to working with some young Chi-Town artists on his album, as well as Vince Staples and James Fauntleroy, who, aside from contributing to Common’s previous album The Dreamer/The Believer, has also worked with BeyoncĂ©, J. Cole, Justin Timberlake and Drake. Watch Common redefine struggle MC above.
