Immortal Technique Talks Middle Passage, EP’s, Documentary, New York [Video]

Exclusive in-depth interview with Immortal Technique at Rock The Bells . Part 3 starts with Technique talking to Nick Huff Barili about his new documentary: The (R)evolution of Immortal Technique and how he wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all he has if he was signed to a major label. Tech goes on to define what success means to him: not by what you have but what you had to sacrifice to get to where you are. And at the end of the day if you are not happy then you are not successful. As the interview continues Tech says that he is working on his new album The Middle Passage along with two Ep’s, one of which is with an underground legend from the West Coast. Any guesses?? We have ours. He goes on to talk about how New York Hip Hop artists have kept a distance from working with other regions and how he wants to end that. There is a lot that can be learned from different regions including the South. Immortal reiterates that Middle Passage with feature production by DJ Premier along with Green Lantern, Scram jones and Ali Shaheed Muhammad! DMX Talks Almost Becoming A “Bad Boy” And Biggies Smile [Video]

Check out the exclusive interview where DMX shares details about almost signing with “Bad Boy” and explains how Biggie Smalls helped him appreciate a smile: DMX’s new album, “Undisputed” is in stores now, and there is no disputing that musically, Dark Man X is back on top of his game. In an exclusive sit-down with AllHipHop.com, the rapper reminisces back to his unsigned artist days and shares a story about nearly signing a record deal with Bad Boy – but being looked over in favor of The Lox. “You know the Lox got signed before I did, they were a “safer” group,” said DMX. Puff signed them and you know it was a blessing and a curse because they were happy they got signed and they were on the Bejamins, but then he [Diddy] made them jiggy and put them in suits and made them write lyrics for him and took their publishing and raped them.” X goes on to explain how Damion “D-Roc” Butler set up a meeting between him and Diddy, but Diddy passed on signing him because he didn’t feel that DMX was a marketable enough artist. “The thing I respect about Puff was that he told me to my face [he said], ‘his voice is too ruff, he’s not marketable.’” You got to respect that.” In the exclusive interview, DMX also shares his fond memories of Biggie and explains how Biggie helped him appreciate a smile. “I never saw Biggie smile until after he died, [it
