Rockwell Knuckles – Take Me To Your Leader [Free LP]

Dammit. Damn damn damn. Damn you Rockwell Knuckles. You’ve ruined my life by releasing Take Me To Your Leader right now. Here’s why: 1. There are lot of new projects I was looking forward to listening to. I won’t anymore. 2. I will be sleeping on the couch for the foreseeable future because my wife won’t be able to handle me humming every single melody on the project at any random time. When Rocky drops a track, I become a harmony ninja, bursting at the seams with a different song to sing at the top of my lungs. Nobody enjoys this. 3. The music is just so good that I feel inadequate as a human being. Even though Rockwell Knuckles has ruined my life, he’s probably made all of yours better by dropping this undeniably great piece of art. After a few listens, this appears to be his most complete and musically robust work yet. And as you listen, try out my Rockwell Knuckles challenge: listen to TMTYL all the way through and if you don’t find yourself humming or singing at least one song at some point in the next 24-hours then you win. Actually, you lose because you clearly have no soul. Download: Rockwell Knuckles – Take Me To Your Leader

Nina B – Somebody’s Daughter [Video]

“Nas has always been such a big influence on my career in so many ways, meeting him a while back reaffirmed why I love painting portraits with words. Minutes before taking this picture for BET, Nas gave me advice which would be the proverbial polish to my diamond/gift. He told me to write from the heart and not from the head; besides “The heart knows more about beats, the head recalls events, but heart recreates the moments feeling.” Listening to “Daughters” vividly brought me back to that moment and this is what I recorded—enjoy”! – Nina Previously: Nina B feat. Jon Connor – How Yall Want It (Remix) [Audio x Download]
