Jay-Z Headlining, Curating Live Nation’s “Budweiser Made In America” Music Festival

This explains the mysterious Made In America video teaser that Life + Times released two days ago.

Jay-Z and Budweiser are expected to announce Monday their partnership to bring a two-day music festival, “Budweiser Made In America,” to Philadelphia over Labor Day Weekend. Jay-Z will headline as well as curate the lineup for the event, which is produced by Live Nation. A portion of all proceeds will benefit United Way, a charity Jay-Z previously partnered with for his pair of historic concerts at Carnegie Hall earlier this year.

Philly’s Ben Franklin Parkway in Fairmount Park has been named as the venue for “Budweiser Made In America,” which will be held Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2. Nearly 30 acts will perform at the festival, spanning rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance genres. The full roster will be announced separately on May 21. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, May 23 at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. Budweiser Facebook fans will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, May 22 via www.facebook.com/Budweiser. The event is also expected to be viewable by live-stream, with details forthcoming.
