Freddie Gibbs Reveals Album Title “The Neck Tie Party”, Talks Gangsta Grillz Mixtape [Video]

Earlier this evening, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Freddie Gibbs in London for his first London interview. Freddie is an artist that I feel is very important in Hip-Hop. His perspective, his energy and his lyrical content is making a powerful contribution and it’s his time to shine. The interview starts with the first Rap album Gibbs brought. The conversation moves on to the projects he is working on and his CTE affiliation. The project with Madlib is 75% done while the “Baby Face Killa: Gangsta Grillz” mixtape with DJ Drama is 50-60% done. I have the honour of listening to a couple of tracks from the Mixtape. There is one with Young Jeezy that you are going to like. Jeezy is rapping in a way I have never heard him and he’s got some bars. It is a track that is going to surprise a lot of people but in a great way. I don’t want to give too much away on the hook and concept but keep your ears peeled on that one. Back to the interview, I propose to Gibbs that he should link up with Freddie Foxxx for a track called “Fades”. Being so versatile in his rhymes, I ask Freddie to show off his UK accent and I show off my horrible US accent. Finally the interview ends with Gibbs speaking on “CTE World” and exclusively reveals the title for his solo album. The album will be called “The Neck Tie Party”.
